If you're looking for a robot vacuum that also mop, this is the model to look for. It's smaller than the other options which makes it easier to maneuver in tight corners or under furniture. It comes with a 220 degree Lidar that, when combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, gives it one of my top navigation and avoidance capabilities I've seen in robot cleaner vacuums. It has a 4600mAh battery that can last up to 170 minutes when mopping and sucking are set to standard mode. (It can run longer when it is set to turbo). It can even return to its dock to recharge its battery mid-clean.

It's extremely quick and does an excellent job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums the carpeted areas extremely quickly, and hardwood floors in the kitchen, hallways, and living room in one go. Its suction motor of 8,000pa is quick at picking up sand, dirt and pet hair. Carpet detection automatically increases power when it detects carpets and the double side brush helps to remove debris from corners.

The mopping efficiency, while still impressive, isn't as good. The mop rotates at a high speed and it pushes down with 2.2lbs of force, easily cleaning up dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arms stick out a bit more than other robots, which can be helpful to maneuver around tight corners and on baseboards. The same front arms can be used to clean up larger debris, like broken toys or books.

Another great feature is that the S1 Pro is one of the quietest robot vacuums that mop vacuums and mops I've tried. It is quieter and doesn't create as much noise when mopping or vacuuming. The only downside is that the S1 Pro must use a specific cleaning solution to perform its mopping function and is sold separately from the vacuum. It is simple to install and performs well. However, if you are buying this vacuum solely for mopping purposes you must be aware of this.

The Matrix Plus robot vacuum is a 2-in-1 vacuum and mop. It is able to perform vacuuming as well as mopping. The robot is divided into two components which include a dry bin and water tank that can be snapped out and in and a mopping module which includes a microfiber pad. Separate modules for vacuuming and mopping may seem a bit old-fashioned however, they mean you don't have to worry about changing disposable bags or refueling the tank with water.

The Matrix Plus performed well at both vacuuming and mopping. Its best feature was its precise map of your floorplan that it uses to draw a route when cleaning. This made it easy for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture rug, furniture, and other obstacles. We also discovered that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well in picking up pet hair. The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robot vacuum that mops in our review, however it also has unique features that are worth considering. The X1 Omni's main draw is its enormous dock, which doubles as a charging base as well as housing for two 4-liter water tanks, a sink for cleaning and an automatic 2.5-liter dust bin that automatically empties.

The base also comes with a set of buttons to control the system. These allow you to start a cleaning task, recall the robot, or start the dock's auto-emptying process. Hold down two buttons to turn off the child lock that is a great touch for parents worried about children playing with the vacuum.

The Omni Omni like other robotic vacuums uses its camera to detect furniture and obstacles in its path. It will stay clear of them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.

Unfortunately this means that the X1 Omni can occasionally become so entangled with an obstacle--such as an electrical cord dangling across a rug--that it becomes stuck and stops working until you manually free it. This was a rare incident, but frustrating nonetheless, since the X1 does not have a "stuck status" alert in its app.

Another potential downside is one of the biggest drawbacks is X1 Omni's inability to automatically switch between vacuuming and mopping modes during cleaning. You'll need to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't that bad however, the mopping pad isn't cleaned or dried between use. This can lead to mildew and mold.

On the bright side, the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot, thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who dreamed up its modern and sleek base as well as mopping pad apparatus. It's a significant contrast to the basic black bases of rivals such as Roborock or iRobot. And it's an excellent choice for the market that is dominated by boxes.
