Keyless Entry System

Keyless access systems are a good method to secure your rental property without requiring physical keys. These systems allow guests and tenants to access the property with a code, or their smartphones. These systems can be paired with intercoms for video or audio communication. This provides people with multiple options to enter a building. Some keyless entry systems run on cloud and can be managed remotely, and also offer more advanced features.

Keyless entry systems can be installed in any residential or commercial property. First, the hardware has to be installed at every entryway. The system will then need to be managed and configured through a central console, or via a smartphone app. According to Technavio, the global keyless entry system market is expected to grow at a CAGR between the years 2016 and 2022 of 11.8 percent. The market's expansion is attributed to the growing need for security in commercial vehicles.

Many people are scared of being locked out of their home So they keep a spare key in a secure place. This poses a significant security risk as criminals know where they keep their spare keys and will easily find them. Installing a keyless entrance at your home is the best method to avoid this. This will ensure that you won't find yourself locked out.

Transponder Chip

The transponder, also referred to as "chip key", is a micro-chip that is embedded in the head portion of your car keys. It's one of the most important security layers for your vehicle. The term "transponder" comes from the combination of responder and transmitter which is because, when the key is put into the ignition and then turned, the antenna ring on your vehicle transmits a jolt of radio frequency energy to the transponder chip. The chip responds by sending its unique identification code back to the antenna ring. The computer in the car interprets this information and decides whether it is a valid or not.

The key must be a transponder key to start the car, if it is not, then the vehicle will remain unresponsive. The chip is protected by a special polycarbonate layer that blocks it from being copied by mechanical keys that are used in regular use or copied by laser equipment. Beishir Lock and Security carries an extensive selection of transponder keys for sale at much less cost than of dealerships selling cars.

In the 1980s, GM began to introduce transponder chips in the Corvette. The technology dramatically reduced car thefts by making hot-wiring obsolete. This is the most basic explanation of chip keys. If you have further questions, please contact us.

Immobiliser System

The engine immobiliser (also called the anti-theft system) is a key element of your vehicle's security. When you insert your key into the ignition switch or Smart Key fob, the transponder chip inside transmits a code to the vehicle's Electronic Control Unit (ECU). The ECU confirms that the code sent by the chip matches the code saved in it and only then allows the engine to start.

This is the primary method the immobiliser on your car can prevent theft. If the chip's code is not in sync the ECU will stop the flow of current from the fuel pump relay to the injection system and prevent the engine from beginning. Additionally the immobiliser may stop the starter motor and the ignition coil, preventing the engine from being started by force.

Unfortunately, this system is not completely secure. Criminals can break the code that unlocks the car's immobiliser system, and start it up. However, the most recent versions of these systems come with a an extended cryptographic sequence which is more difficult to determine.

Car immobilisers have been required since 1998, however many cars had rudimentary immobilisers prior to that. It's important to note that although an immobiliser system makes it harder to steal a car it does not hinder thieves from towing it away or breaking into the car to get at your possessions.

Key Replacement

If you lose your remote or fiat key Replacement cost key fob, it can be an issue and can be very costly. Locksmiths must gain access to the vehicle to decode or run the VIN, then reprogramme the new key to erase any signatures from the computer for all keys that were lost, stolen or damaged.

A key replacement is more expensive if your vehicle has a transponder or integrated security chip. These chips send an electronic signal to your car to verify that you are the driver and allow the doors to be opened and the engine to start. The average price for replacing a smart key is $160.
