Noah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst for Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab.

He tests and evaluates cleaning equipment. His main focus is mopping robots and vacuum combinations. Multitaskers are a great option for those who are looking to eliminate mopping from their list of tasks. They have impressive mapping and obstacles-avoiding capabilities, and they can even wash and refill their own mopping pads for a hands-off clean.

The Eufy S1 Pro

This is the model you should choose if you want an automatic vacuum cleaner that can also mop. It's smaller than the other options which makes it more maneuverable in tight spaces or under furniture. It has a 220 degree Lidar that, combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, offers some of my favorite navigation and object avoidance features I've seen in a robotic vacuum. It comes with a massive 4600mAh battery that lasts for up to 170-minutes when mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it can run longer in turbo). It will even return to the dock to replenish its battery midway through cleaning.

It's extremely efficient and does a great job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It can vacuum carpeted rooms fast and hardwood floors in the living room, kitchen and hallways with only one pass. Its motor of 8,000pa is able to pick up dirt hair, pet hair, and droppings easily. Carpet detection boosts power automatically when it comes in contact with carpets and the dual side brushes help to tease out debris from corners.

The mopping performance, though still impressive, isn't as good robot vacuum. The rotating mop spins fast and uses 2.2lbs to clean dirt and stain. I've noticed that the front arms extend out slightly more than other robots, which can be helpful for getting into tight corners and along baseboards. The same front arms can also be used to scoop up larger objects such as books and toys that have been damaged.

Another nice feature is that the S1 Pro is one of the quietest robot vacuums and mop I've ever used. It doesn't create the same volume of sound when mopping or vacuuming, and is much quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The only issue is that the S1 Pro must use a exclusive cleaning solution for mopping, and is separate from the vacuum. It is easy to install and performs well. However when you purchase this robot vacuum for mopping purposes it is important to pay attention to this.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo is different from other robot vacuums in its class. It has a robust suite of features that make it an ideal option for homeowners looking for a highly effective, versatile, and customizable cleaning machine.

The device has an extremely powerful and impressive cleaning system that combines LiDAR sensors with an RGB camera to map the home and identify furniture and other obstacles. This information can be used to clean intelligently and efficiently. This results in an efficient, consistent clean that's also fairly quick.

The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad can reach many surfaces. This includes baseboards, corners and other difficult to reach areas. They also come with a stretchy side brush that extends to reach the floor near walls and other fixtures. The mop pads are washable and dry to eliminate odors and stop buildup.

Another noteworthy feature is the app-based customization options. The Q Revo allows you to adjust the suction intensity and choose a back-and forth or slightly random pattern. You can also adjust the number of passes it will make, which will determine how quickly the device can move through your home. You can also turn off the side brush to avoid damaging carpets and rug.

This device has a fairly expensive price, but is packed with a wide array of innovative features. It is important to remember, however, that the device incurs recurring expenses in the form mopping supplies and regular maintenance. For instance, the brushroll will need to be replaced after 300 hours or every six to twelve months. The filter should be cleaned after 150 hrs, and the mop pads must be changed every three month.

This robot vacuum that mops is rated highly on Amazon and comes with a wide variety of physical automation features. It has an energy button that can also function as a general 'Clean button, as well as a 'Home button that will take it back to its base station after finishing its cleaning session. It also comes with a multifunctional dock which automatically empty the trash bin, fills up its water tank and washes and drys its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus

The Shark Matrix Plus will be an ideal option for busy professionals or anyone who needs to keep their home clean without spending too much time doing chores. It has powerful performance, intelligent navigation, and long battery life that makes it easy to keep your home clean with minimal effort.

The Matrix Plus robot vacuum is a 2-in-1 mop and vacuum. It can do both mopping and vacuuming. The robot has two modules: a combined dry bin and water reservoir and a separate mopping system with a microfiber pad that snaps in and out of place. It's a little old-fashioned to have separate modules for mopping and vacuuming, but it does mean you don't need to worry about changing disposable bags or refilling the tank with water.

The Matrix Plus performed well at both vacuuming as well as mopping. Its most impressive feature is its accurate floorplan map, which it uses when cleaning. It was easy for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture, rugs and other obstacles. The app also gives you the option to set 'No-Go zones' and virtual barriers that help to protect certain areas of your house from being swept with mop.

We also found that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well in removing pet hair. It was able to collect a large amount of hair that our cats shed, and even got into the nooks and crannies of our stairs while other robots struggled. Its noise levels were fairly low, and there were some pleasant jingles to signal that it was beginning and finishing its work.

Its biggest drawbacks were its simplistic app and the requirement to change between the modules to switch between mopping and vacuuming. The app isn't able to hold multiple maps, which can be a hassle if you have a home with a mix of floors. The Matrix Plus is a good option for those who want an intelligent robot that can perform both vacuuming and mopping.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robot vacuum that mops in our review, however it also has distinctive features that make it worth considering. The X1 Omni is notable for its enormous dock that serves as an charging base for the robot, a cleaning sink and two 4-liter water tanks. It also houses the 2.5-liter dust bin and a 2.5 liter dust bin.

The base comes with several control buttons, which allow you to manually start cleaning tasks and then recall the robot or run the dock's best automatic vacuum and mop emptying procedure. Press two buttons to switch off the child lock. This is a nice feature for parents who are concerned about their children messing around with the vacuum.

The Omni Omni, like other robotic vacuums uses its camera to spot obstacles and furniture in its path. It will stay clear of them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.

This can cause the X1 to get stuck if it is entangled in a hazard like a power cable tangled over a rug. It will not work until you manually untangle it. Although this is not a common occurrence, it was a frustrating experience when it did happen, especially since the X1 Omni doesn't come with an "stuck" status alert in its application.

Another issue that could be a problem is the X1 Omni's inability to automatically change between vacuuming and mopping modes during a cleaning session. You will need to manually swap between the two, which isn't too bad except for the fact that mopping pads haven't been cleaned and dried between uses, which can lead to mildew or mold.

The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who designed its sleek modern base and mopping pad. It's a big contrast to the basic black bases of competitors like Roborock or iRobot. And it's an impressive sight in a market dominated by clunky boxy units.
