The best robotic mop and vacuum Robot Vacuum That Mops

Noah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst for Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab.

He reviews and tests cleaning equipment, with a focus on mopping and robot vacuums that mop vacuum combos. These multitaskers are a great option for those looking to cross mopping off the to-do list. They have impressive mapping and obstacle avoidance capabilities, and some wash and refill their own mopping pads to ensure a hands-free clean.

The Eufy S1 Pro

This is the model you should pick if you are looking for a robot cleaner with mop vacuum cleaner that also mop. It's smaller than other models, making it more maneuverable in tight corners or under furniture. It has a 220 degree Lidar that, when combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, gives it some of my favorite navigation and avoidance capabilities I've seen in robot vacuums. It has a hefty 4600mAh battery that lasts for up to 170-minutes, if mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it is able to run longer in turbo). It can even return to its dock to replenish its battery mid-clean.

It's extremely efficient and does an outstanding job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums carpeted areas extremely quickly, and the hardwood floors in the living room, and hallways in a single pass. Its motor of 8,000pa is able to pick up dirt, pet hair, and droppings effortlessly. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it detects carpets, and the dual side brush helps to remove debris from corners.

The mopping performance, though still impressive, is not as good. The mop rotates quickly and uses 2.2lbs to scrub dirt and stain. I've noticed that the front arm protrudes out a little more than other robots. This is helpful when you're trying to get into difficult corners or along baseboards. The front arms can be used to clean up larger debris, like broken toys and books.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mops and vacuums I've tested. It doesn't make the same amount of noise when mopping or vacuuming and is quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The only downside is that the S1 Pro must use a proprietary cleaning solution for mopping, and is separate from the vacuum. It is easy to set up and performs well. However when you purchase this robot vacuum solely for mopping purposes you must pay attention to this.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo stands apart from the majority of robot vacuums which mops in its class. It is equipped with a broad array of features that make it an ideal choice for homeowners looking to purchase an efficient, flexible and ad-hoc cleaning machine.

The device has a powerful and impressive cleaning system that integrates LiDAR sensors and an RGB camera to map the home and detect furniture and other obstacles. It can then use this information to clean methodically and effectively. This will ensure an even and thorough clean, while also being relatively fast.

The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad is capable of reaching many surfaces. This includes baseboards, corners and other difficult to reach places. They also come with a stretchy side brush that can extend to reach the floor close to walls and other fixtures. The mop pads are washable and can be dried to eliminate odors and stop buildup.

Another notable feature is the app-based customization options. The Q Revo allows you to adjust the amount of suction, and choose between a back-andforth or more randomized pattern. You can also choose the number of passes, which determines how fast it can move around your home. You can even choose to disable the side brush to avoid damaging rugs and carpets.

The device has a expensive price, but comes with a large selection of advanced features. It's crucial to remember that it carries recurring costs in the form of mopping supplies and maintenance. For instance the brushroll needs to be replaced after 300 hours or every six to twelve months. The filter must be cleaned after 150 hours, and the mop pad needs to be replaced every one to three months.

This robot vacuum that mops has an excellent rating on Amazon and offers a wide range of physical automation features. The auto vacuum and mop also has a power button which doubles as the 'Clean button' and a 'Home button to send it back home after cleaning. It also has a multifunctional dock that automatically emptys the dustbin and refills its water tank for mopping and washes and dries its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus

If you're a professional with a lot of work or someone who just wants an organized home that doesn't require hours doing chores then the Shark Matrix Plus is a excellent option. Its powerful performance, intelligent navigation, and long battery life allow you to keep a clean home with minimal effort.

The Matrix Plus is a 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mop which means it can handle mopping and vacuuming. The robot has two modules: a dry bin and water reservoir and a separate mopping module with a microfiber pad that snaps into and out of position. Separate modules for vacuuming and mopping may appear a bit dated, but they do mean you don't have to worry about changing bags for disposables or refilling the tank with water.

The Matrix Plus performed well at both vacuuming as well as mopping. Its most impressive feature was its precise floorplan map which it uses to draw a route when cleaning. This made it easy for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture carpets, rugs and other obstacles. The app also gives you the option to set "No-Go zones" as well as virtual barriers, which can help to protect certain areas of your house from being swept with a mop.

The Matrix Plus also did a remarkable job at picking up hair of pets. It was able capture many of the hair sheds from our cats. It even got into the corners and crevices of our stairs where other robots had struggled. It was fairly silent and also had a few lovely jingles to indicated when it was starting or finished its work.

Its biggest drawbacks were its simple app and the requirement to switch out the modules when switching between mopping and vacuuming. The app isn't able to store multiple maps, which can be a problem if you have a home with multiple floors. The Matrix Plus robot vacuums with mop is a great choice for those who want a smart device that can vacuum and mop.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robot vacuum that mops in our test, but it comes with some unique features that are worth a look. The X1 Omni is most well-known for its massive dock that serves as a charging base for the robot, a sink for cleaning and two water tanks that are 4 liters in size. It also houses two bins: a 2.5-liter dust bin and the 2.5 liter dust bin.

The base comes with a few control buttons that let you manually begin a cleaning task and then recall the robot or run the dock's automatic emptying procedure. Press two of the buttons to switch on the child lock that is a great feature for parents who are worried about kids tinkering with the vacuum.

The Omni Omni like other robotic vacuums, uses its camera to detect obstacles and furniture in its path. It will stay clear of them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system can map your home 10 times faster than standard laser detection systems and is four times more precise in finding objects.

This can cause the X1 to become stuck if it is entangled in an obstacle like the power cable that is draped over a rug. It won't work until you remove it manually. This was a rare occurrence however it was frustrating because the X1 doesn't have a "stuck status" alert on its application.

The X1 Omni is unable to automatically switch between mopping and vacuuming mode during a cleaning session. You'll need to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't that bad however, the mopping pad doesn't get cleaned or dried between use. This can lead to mildew and mold.

On the positive side the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who dreamed up its sleek, modern-looking base and mopping pad apparatus. It's a significant departure from the utilitarian all-black bases of competitors like Roborock or iRobot. And it's an excellent choice for an industry dominated by boxes.robot-vacuum-mops-logo-text-black-png-original.jpg
