World of Warcraft Item Upgrades

Upgrades to items can be used to increase the stats of an item. Based on the type of upgrade it could increase an item's Mark Level or Rarity, and also boost other stats.

Upgrades to equipment in The War Within requires a specified number of Flightstones and Crests and each item has an upgrade track. Each upgrade increases the cost of the next one by a certain amount.

Item Level

When an item gets upgraded, its base stats improve in value. The value is the sum of all of the perks that are leveled up (attack magic attack and defense). Upgrades can be costly, dependent on who you employ and what you do. This is due to the sheer number of perks that have to be modified to upgrade an item.

It is also used as a gating requirement while waiting for dungeons, raids and scenarios. It can also be used to limit the amount of PvP gear players can wear since PvP is not available at lower levels. Players can see their average level of item on their character sheet.

Utilizing the level of an item can help players evaluate the potency of gear when they decide to buy or sell. It's a sign of the item's damage and quality. The level of an Best item upgrader can be used to compare items when examining the inventory of a vendor.

The item level can be seen by pressing the ALT key on a PC or using the left stick (L3) on XB1 and PS4. This will display the item's full description, including the ilvl. You can also locate it by hovering over an item and typing in /itemlevel chat.

There are various theories on how the calculation of an item's level is made. One theory is that the level is a number that comes from a formula that determines the amount an item's stats are worth. It takes into consideration that different benefits are valued differently and that gems in sockets increase the item's value. This can lead to an item's ilvl calculated, which is often very close to Blizzards actual level of the item.

This is not the only factor that affects the value of an item. The degree of the area in which the item was dropped may change its stats. For instance, it could increase the item's haste, or crit rating. This means that items that drop at higher levels will have more value than items dropped in lower-level instances.

Item Stats

The stats of an item can determine the fate of an item upgrading for players. The game makes use of them in various ways to encourage players not to restrict themselves to a particular weapon, and to encourage them to try out other weapons. The stat mods of an weapon increase the base stats. These stat mods are then increased by the player's level.

Upgrades to an item can boost its stats. The costs for upgrades are determined by the rarity of the item. A white or grey item, for example, will only be upgraded once and items with rare tiers can be upgraded several times at higher prices.

Affixes are another way to change an item upgrade's stats. These are special stat boosts that can be added to an item by the player, and they come in all sizes and shapes. Affixes are used to give items extra damage or other special abilities (such as revitalizing dead or reducing cooling downs) or to distinguish them by putting a name on them.

All affixes are re-rolled at the moment by selecting them in the upgrade window, and pressing the green button. It will cost a set amount in gold and other items. They can also be used as upgrade gauges, similar to other rerolling methods.

Players can upgrade an item by specific stats or reroll attaches. The range of stats is determined by the item's level. However each item will contain at least one stat within the range, unless they are an exclusive item, or a God Roll from a boss in a raid.

This is another thing that can be modified by introducing an option to upgrade the equipment without rolling the affixes or deciding which stats to boost. But as with base equipment, this would need to be carried out on a per-item basis and the item compare interface will not show all the stats that could be that were gained or lost at the same time.

Item Luck

The Luck stat of a player can increase the chance of finding items, the properties that are generated by loot, and the strength of these properties. It doesn't, however directly affect damage or the ability to upgrade items. It gives the player a chance to upgrade their equipment earlier in the game, and is therefore more useful in the initial game run as opposed to later ones, because most players value greater weapon scaling and defense over damage gains.

In addition to influencing item discovery, Luck also increases the chance of being successful when upgrading items using the Blacksmith. This is not to be confused with the Blacksmith's overall upgrade chances that increase with each new level of item. They can also be increased with the use of anti-materials like the Scroll of Strength and a Jewel of Blessing.

Weapons, shields, and armor can be created or spawned with the Luck property, with an initial value of 40. These items can be improved with golden ingots, or spined leather (depending on the material they are made of) for a further +40 luck or to boost an item's existing Luck up to 140.

Furthermore there are certain items, such as the Hollow infused weapon, can be equipped to boost the damage of any damage-dealing skill by 5percent. These items can be found in the shop or crafted using the right ingredients.

Item Failure

Item upgrades are expensive and not every upgrade will be successful. Cash shop items can be used to increase the chance of success of an upgrade or to stop players from losing their item if it fails.

When you upgrade an item, the success rate is shown in the Honing UI. The percentage represents the probability of completing the upgrade item (cool training) successfully and can be increased by adding Additional Materials or Special Materials. There are limitations on how much the success rates can be improved, and the overall chance of an upgrade failing can't exceed 100%..

The success of an can be affected by the luck of that item. Every item has an initial success rate of 25%, and every item with Luck increases the chance of success by 5percent.

It is important to note that upgrade items are rendered above the items in the inventory therefore enchantment glints and other effects can be obscured by them. If you wish to disable the upgrade overlays, the config option decoration.renderUpgradeOverlays can be set to False in the item upgrader mod Upgrader CORE client config.
