The Eufy S1 Pro

If you're looking to buy a robot vacuum that can also mop, this is the model to go for. It's smaller than other options, making it easier to maneuver into tight corners or under furniture. It comes with a 220 degree Lidar that, when combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, gives it some of the best robot vacuum navigation and object avoidance features I've seen in robot vacuums. It's got a battery of 4600mAh that can last up to 170 minutes when mopping and sucking are set to standard mode. (It can run longer on turbo). It can even return to the dock to top up its battery halfway through cleaning.

It's very efficient and does a great job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums the carpeted areas extremely quickly, and the hardwood floors in the kitchen, hallways, and living room in a single sweep. The suction motor's 8,000pa makes short work of picking up dirt, droppings and pet hair. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it detects rugs and the double side brush assists in removing debris from corners.

The mopping performance, while still impressive, is not as good. The mop's rotating mechanism spins fast and utilizes 2.2lbs to scrub dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arms stick out a bit more than other robots, which can be helpful for getting into tight corners and along baseboards. Those same front arms can also be employed to clean larger objects, such as broken toys and books.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mops and vacuums I've tested. It is quieter and doesn't make as much noise when vacuuming or mopping. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it must use a mopping solution that is proprietary and is sold separately. It's easy to install and is effective, but this is something you'll need to be aware of if you're buying this robot vacuum solely for the purpose of mopping.

The Roborock Q Revo

The device is equipped with an impressive and powerful cleaning system that combines LiDAR sensors and an RGB camera to map the house and identify furniture and other obstacles. It then uses this information to clean methodically and effectively. This will ensure an efficient and consistent cleaning, while also being relatively quick.

The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad can reach many surfaces. This includes corners and baseboards as well as other hard-to-reach spots. They also have a stretchy side brush that can extend to the floor in close proximity to walls and other fixtures. Additionally the mop pads are able to be cleaned and dried to prevent the build-up of dust and reduce the smell.

The Matrix Plus robot vacuum is an all-in-one mop and vacuum. It can do both vacuuming as well as mopping. The robot is divided into two components, a dry bin and water tank that can be snapped out and in and a mopping module that includes an elastomer pad. Separate modules for vacuuming and mopping may appear a bit dated, but they do mean you don't have to worry about changing bags for disposables or refilling the tank with water.

The Matrix Plus performed well at vacuuming and mopping. Its most impressive feature was its accurate floorplan map that it uses to determine a route when cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate through rugs, furniture and other obstacles. The app also offers the option of setting "No-Go zones" as well as virtual barriers, which can help to protect certain areas of your home from being scrubbed with mop.

The Matrix Plus also did a surprising job of collecting hair from pets. It was able to capture many of the hair sheds from our cats. It even got into some of the corners and crevices of our stairs, where other robots had struggled. Its noise levels were fairly low and there were lovely jingles that let you know that it was starting and getting its work done.

The biggest flaws were its simple app and the need to switch out the modules when switching between vacuuming and mopping. The app is not able to store multiple maps. This could be an issue if your house has several floors. The Matrix Plus robot vacuum and mop is a excellent choice for those who want a smart device that can vacuum and mop.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni robot cleaner vacuum is the most expensive item in our review. It does however, have distinct features that make it worth looking into. The X1 Omni is most well-known for its huge dock that doubles as an charging base for the robot, a cleaning sink and two water tanks of 4 liters. It also houses a 2.5-liter dust bin and a 2.5 liter dust bin.

The base comes with a few control buttons, which allow you to manually begin a cleaning task, recall the robot or use the dock's auto-emptying procedure. Hold down two buttons to turn off the child lock, which is a nice touch for parents worried about kids tinkering with the vacuum.

The Omni Omni like other robotic vacuums uses its camera to identify furniture and obstacles in its path. It will stay clear of them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system can map your home 10 times faster than standard laser detection systems and is four times more accurate at recognizing objects.

Unfortunately, this means that the X1 Omni will sometimes get so entangled with obstacles, like a power cord draped across a rug--that it becomes stuck and stops working until you remove it manually. This was a rare occurrence however, it was a bit frustrating since the X1 does not have a "stuck status" alert in its app.

The X1 Omni is unable to automatically switch between mopping and vacuuming mode during cleaning. You'll need to manually swap between the two, which isn't an issue apart from the fact that mopping pads aren't cleaned and dried between use and can cause mildew or mold.

The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who designed its sleek, modern base and mopping pad. It's a significant change from the utilitarian all-black bases that are used by rivals like Roborock and iRobot and is a refreshing appearance in a market that is dominated by clunky, boxy units.
