The Best Robot Hoover

robot-vacuum-mops-logo-text-black-png-original.jpgThe best robot hoover can clean and mop without requiring your attention. It will leave your floors spotless. Its affordable price and high-end features (such as a dirt detector) are a plus.

Check your robot's brushes regularly for tangled debris and hair. Clean them as needed. Some models will also empty the onboard dustbin and deposit it in a larger bin at the base. This helps reduce the amount of fine dust that gets released into the air.

1. Roomba Q5 Pro

The Q5 Pro, and its more expensive cousin the Q7 Max Series are among the most powerful robotic vacuums we've test. They are equipped with motors that are top-of-the class and can handle up to 5,500 Pascals. And, like other premium iRobot models (including the top pick), they use smart mapping technology to design precise floor plans and eliminate common obstacles like cords and furniture legs. They also feature a feature called carpet boost that boosts the robot's performance when it spots the presence of dirt on the carpet, allowing it cleaned quickly.

Both the Q5 as well as the Q7 Max Series get very good scores in our tests on floors that are bare and are particularly effective in cleaning pet hair. However, they have some flaws that prevent them from being our top choice. For one, the Q5's navigation system does not have AI-powered obstacle avoidance and is therefore prone to getting hung up on shoes and socks and can't navigate tightly packed rooms very efficiently in our tests. It also doesn't come with a camera to look around corners.

It's still a good robot vacuum value particularly if your home or office has a lot of bare floors and you want to save some money. Plus, it's very quiet and can be used while you're at work or at school. It doesn't have the edge-to-edge floor vacuuming feature that's offered by the more expensive iRobot Roomba X30. And it's less effective at mopping, using disposable wet wipes that don't stay on well and aren't able to deal with dried-on debris. The Q5 does come with self-emptying docks, however. If you're in need of it clean the mopping pad, it can be replaced with a wet one in seconds.

2. iRobot Roomba X30

The iRobot Roomba X30 is a compact sleek and stylish vacuum cleaner that can also sweep floors. Its smart cleaning maps and quick navigation make it easy to clean, and effective in dealing with larger particles, like pet hair. It also features strong suction and self-emptying bin. It's the best robot vacuums with mop hoover for carpets, although it isn't as efficient as some of its competitors in deep cleaning.

This high-performing mop and vacuum combo utilizes advanced sensors to dodge obstacles and pet waste and it learns your home's layout over time to provide more efficient cleaning. The app lets you set up zones and modify the cleaning schedule. It comes with a battery life that is similar to other models.

You can tell the X30 Ultra to remove its mops and extend them when in a room with carpet to prevent cross-contamination. Its flex arm is ideal to get under furniture with low levels and along baseboards. It doesn't perform as well on the washboard as our other Editors' Choice Picks, the Ecovacs Ozmo N8Pro+ and the iRobot Combo j9+.

During tests, X30 Ultra was the most efficient robot vacuum/mop which could sweep the entire house with just 66 percent of its battery remaining. It also did an excellent job cleaning a range of rooms and floors with different flooring types, including some area rugs. Its obstacle detection was excellent, and it avoided fake dog turds, socks, shoes, and bundles of cables.

It's a bit more expensive than iRobot Combo v9+ or iRobot Roomba j9+ but it has superior suction and an onboard bin that automatically empty into the base. It also supports voice commands via Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. It can clean the floor even after it vacuums. This is something we haven't seen before on other robot vacuum/mop combination.

3. iRobot Roomba X40

With a sleek circular design that appears more like a regular Roomba rather than the boxes, this mop and robot vacuum is among the most attractive designs in our evaluations. iRobot's latest flagship model also is among the most intelligent and has advanced features like enhanced dirt detection technology and future compatibility with Matter (another company's robot that can wash its own mop pads).

It's the only robot vacuum/mop that has an exemplary 10/10 in our evaluations, thanks to a combination of high-tech sensors, including cameras, a structured light system and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra was the only robot vacuums uk we tested that could fill and empty its basestation autonomously. It also boasted an industry-leading suction of 12,000Pa and self-cleaning mop mops.

The X40 as with other iRobot products, is simple to operate. It comes with a simple mobile application interface and is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Apple HomeKit. The only downside is that the X40 still a noisy unit. This could be a problem in mornings before work, or during the night when you're trying to sleep.

It's also somewhat expensive, though it's not as expensive as the Ecovacs X2 Omni or Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra Both of which are equally powerful and look better. This is a dual-purpose vacuum that's very capable however it's going to cost you more and create more noise.

iRobot L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is a top-of-the-range robot vacuum and mop, with a variety of sophisticated features that will let you get rid of your chores. Similar to Ecovacs the range-topping X2 Omni and Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra, the L20 is designed to be a hands-free cleaning machine that takes care of both mopping and vacuuming. It comes with a multifunction dock that automatically empties the vacuum's dustbin, refills its water tank, washes and dries its mop pads.

The smart robot vacuum cleaner reviews makes use of LIDAR and structured lighting to create floor plans and spot obstacles. It can navigate more efficiently than its top competitors. It also has a front mounted camera for real-time detection of hazards, though this wasn't completely foolproof in our tests, and could be confused with obstructions or power cords.

The vacuum has a maximum suction of 7,000 Pascals which is more than enough to finish the job. It also comes with a feature called "Intelligent Dirt Detection", that regulates the vacuum's power and adjusts the frequency of cleaning for various areas of the house based on how dirty these areas tend to be.

If you have a larger home, it is worth choosing a model that has spot or zone cleaning mode. This allows you to tell the robot which area of your home needs to be cleaned using the app or voice control. If you have furniture, a stairway mode is also useful. Finally a recharge and resume feature that lets your robot vacuum take over exactly where it left off is great for busy families.

iRobot RX3

The RX3 is a more efficient cleaner than you'd expect from its price tag. It's a pro at vacuuming, picking up 55% of the debris we found in our tests (it was second only to the Roomba Q5 Pro). It also mopses using one pad and a reciprocating movement that cleans better that most of the mop cleaners with robots that we've tried. It's also highly self-sufficient, with a fully-featured app, and a self-emptying base that is washable.

The iRobot app is designed to help you navigate a mapping run which collects information about your floorplan and any "no go" areas that you have marked on the map. It can be used to create cleaning schedules, or to set up the spot-cleaning. You can also use it to rank your most filthy areas for better performance. The app offers a variety of features, such as seasonal suggestions, customized mapping, and advanced cleaning settings.

Its shape is more rectangular than most other robot vacuums, which means it can get to corners and under furniture more easily. It is equipped with a powerful 8,000 Pascal suction, as well as intelligent combs to remove pet hair. You can also set up a spot-clean that will thoroughly clean an area.

The Miele Scout RX3 Home Vision HD is a more sleek and less expensive alternative to the iRobot Roomba. It has a more attractive, Dolce & Gabbana-esque design and its twin cameras resemble cute eyes. It does a great job vacuuming, however it is more likely to get caught in low thresholds. It is also louder than other top robot vacuums we have tested. It also has a less intuitive app and a tiny base station that isn't able to double as a bin for emptying.
