1. Baby Jogger City Tour 2 Double

The City Tour 2 double to single buggy is the smallest double stroller in the Baby Jogger range. It's designed for travel and easily fits through most standard doorways with its ultra-narrow design, it's also one of the most light double buggies available on the market, weighing just 14lb when folded. It's perfect for trips with a toddler and a newborn as you won’t exceed the allowances for luggage on airlines. It also folds up to the size of a travel bag so that you can put it away in the back of your car when it's not being used.

The one-handed Z-shape fold is a breeze and it's extremely compact once you get the hang of it and takes seconds to unfold. Our tester found the auto lock a bit confusing, and because the handlebar doesn't lock into the position you push it into and it landed on her leg when she tried to use it. She also thought that the handlebar was on the short side. This is particularly true when a large bag for changing hangs from it.

As opposed to other light travel buggies, this doesn't skimp on features and is among the most comprehensive double strollers on the market. It's compatible with two carry cots (available separately) It also has multiple recline positions and an UV 50+ canopy. You can even add an additional bassinet to one or both seats and transform it into a travel system.

The four rubber composite tires are great for pavements as well as urban terrain. However, they were not made for off-roading. They struggled with gravel and long grass and there wasn't enough clearance between the wheel bracket and wheel, so mud stuck easily. However our tester was still enthralled the buggy and did climb some beautiful muddy hills.

2. iCandy Orange

The iCandy Orange double buggy is the most stylish, versatile and quality. It is a must-have for parents who want a chic and durable double buggy that lasts. The Orange is a stylish lightweight, sleek frame with an enormous basket that easily fits two car seats. It comes with a luxurious, interchangeable canopy that is water-resistant and ventilated. It comes in trendy colours - Pistachio, Fossil, Latte and Rose on an Jet Black frame. The option of adding an integrated ride for older siblings is also available.

The 2021 update comes with couple of improvements, including better maneuverability, a bigger shopping basket and a redesigned bumper bar that has a leatherette cover. The seats are moulded and are extremely comfortable. The Joie Evalite Duo double buggy for twins buggy is a great option for newbies, as it is affordable and easy to operate. It is also extremely lightweight, making it easier to push for long distances. It is equipped with a top-quality suspension system that ensures an easy ride for both children and parents.

This fashionable and practical city stroller is suitable for twins or a toddler with one or two children with the addition of UPPAbaby's ‘PiggyBack’ board (sold separately). It has a sleek frame and a small dimensions, making it ideal for narrow city streets and shopping malls. The swivel wheels on the front and four-wheel suspension allows it to navigate uneven or rough terrain.

This buggy is also ideal for families who plan to travel as it can accommodate a car seat in the back. It has a secure one-click fold and works with a range of Joie infant car seats. The adjustable height handle and rear wheel suspension ensure an enjoyable ride for children up to 22kg, while the durable pneumatic tyres are easy to clean and provide a smooth ride for running. The 360-degree swivel wheel can be locked to help you maneuver around the town. The one-pedal easy lock brake is also simple to use.

Our testers discovered that the Nipper Double is incredibly easy to maneuver, even on uneven terrain or when turning on a busy road. The feature that the seats can be reclined independently was also hugely appreciated.

The hoods were also easy to adjust for wind or sun protection. They didn't provide as much coverage as the Baby Jogger City Mini Hoods. It's probably worth packing an additional rain cover in the case.

Overall, our test participants were impressed with the Nipper double's ability to let them take their twin daughters Sydney and Lyla to All Terrain Double Buggy (Wifidb.Science) kinds of adventures. From seeing wildlife in the forest or rushing to a park for a playdate they were thrilled. They were also awed by how cosy and spacious the two seats are, with plenty of room for toddlers to stretch out in. Our testers did mention that the absence of parent-facing seating and the inability of using car seats in this buggy was a drawback and they would like to have seen more storage space for shopping and other gear.
