The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops

robotic-vacuum-cleaner-cleaning-the-room-while-wom-2024-11-07-13-20-10-utc-min-jpg-original.jpgNoah Pinsonnault is a product review analyst for the Home Care and Cleaning Lab at Good Housekeeping.

He reviews and tests cleaning appliances, focusing on robot vacuum reviews vacuums and mopping combos. These multitaskers are a great option for those who wish to take mopping off their to-do list. Some models have superior mapping and obstacles avoidance. Some wash and refill mopping pads themselves for a hands-free clean.

The Eufy S1 Pro

This is the model you need to choose if you want a robot vacuum cleaner that also mop. It is smaller than other options which makes it easier to maneuver in tight corners or under furniture. It comes with a 220 degree Lidar which, when combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, offers one of my top navigation and avoidance capabilities I've seen in the form of a robotic vacuum. It has a 4600mAh battery that can last up to 170 minutes when mopping and sucking is set to standard mode. (It can run longer when it is set to turbo). It will even return to its dock to recharge its battery during the cleaning.

It's extremely efficient and does an outstanding job of cleaning my two-bedroom apartment. It vacuums the carpeted areas extremely quickly, and hardwood floors in the living room, and hallways in one go. The suction motor's 8,000pa is quick at picking up sand, dirt and pet hair. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it detects rugs, and the dual side brushes help to clean debris from corners.

The mopping efficiency, while still impressive, isn't as impressive. The mop rotates at a high speed and pushes down with 2.2lbs of force, effortlessly scrubbing up dirt and staining. I've noticed that the front arm sticks out a little more than other robots. This is useful when you're trying to get into difficult corners or along baseboards. The front arms can also be used to sweep larger pieces of debris, such as broken toys and books.

Another nice feature is that the S1 Pro is one of the quietest robot vacuums and mop I've ever tried. It doesn't produce the same amount of noise when mopping or vacuuming, and is quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The only issue is that the S1 Pro must use a exclusive cleaning solution for mopping, and is sold separately from the vacuum. It's simple to set up and is effective, but this is something you'll have to be aware of in case you're purchasing this vacuum for the sole purpose of it mopping.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo stands apart from the majority of robot vacuums which mops in its class. It is a powerful cleaning machine with a range of features.

The device is equipped with a powerful cleaning system that incorporates LiDAR sensor technology and an RGB camera. This enables it to map out the home and also detect furniture and other obstacles. It then uses this information to clean effectively and efficiently. This will result in a thorough, consistent clean which is also relatively quick.

In terms of mopping, Q Revo's DuoRoller mop pads are capable of reaching many different surface areas. This includes corners, baseboards and other difficult to reach spots. They also have a stretchy side brush that extends to the floor in close proximity to walls and other fixtures. The mop pads can also be washable and dry to remove odors and prevent buildup.

Another feature worth mentioning is the customization options that are available through apps. The Q Revo allows you to alter the strength of suction and choose between a back-andforth, or a more randomized pattern. You can also alter the number of passes it should make, which will determine how quickly the device can move around your home. You can even choose to disable the side brush to avoid damaging rugs and carpets.

The device comes with a high price tag but is packed with a wide array of innovative features. It is important to remember, however, that the device is subject to periodic costs in the form of mopping supplies as well as regular maintenance. For instance the brushroll needs to be replaced after 300 hours or every six to twelve months. The filter is recommended to be cleaned after 150 hrs, and the mop pads must be changed every one to three month.

This robot vacuum best vacuum mop has an excellent Amazon rating and includes a wide range of physical automation features. It has the power button that doubles as a general 'Clean button, as well as a 'Home button that sends it back to its base station after finishing its cleaning session. It also comes with a multifunctional dock that automatically emptys the dustbin, refills its water tank and washes and drys its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus

The Shark Matrix Plus will be an ideal option for busy professionals or anyone who wants to keep their home tidy without spending too much time on chores. Its powerful performance, smart navigation and long battery life allow you to keep a clean home with little effort.

The Matrix Plus is a 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mop, which means it is able to handle mopping and vacuuming. The robot cleaner has two modules: a combined dry bin and water reservoir, and a separate mopping unit with a microfiber pad that snaps into and out of position. It's a bit old-fashioned to have separate modules for mopping and vacuuming, but it does mean you don't need to worry about changing disposable bags or refilling the tank of water.

Our testers discovered that the Matrix Plus did a great job of vacuuming as well as mopping. Its most impressive feature was its precise floorplan map which it uses to determine an outline for cleaning. This made it a breeze for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture rug, furniture, and other obstacles. The app also offers the option of setting 'No-Go zones' and virtual barriers, which can help to protect certain areas of your home from being scrubbed with a mop.

The Matrix Plus also did a remarkable job at picking up hair from pets. It was able capture many of the hair that shed by our cats, and even made it into the nooks and crannies on our stairs, where other robots have struggled. The noise levels were low and there were lovely jingles that inform you that it was in the process of working towards its goal.

The app was too simple and you had to switch the modules each time you changed between vacuuming and mopping. The app doesn't have the capacity to hold multiple maps, which could be a hassle if you have a home with multiple floors. The Matrix Plus is a good option for those who want an intelligent robot that can do both vacuuming and mopping.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robotic vacuum that is able to mop in our review, but it comes with some distinct features that make it worth a look. The X1 Omni's main draw is its enormous dock which serves as the robot's charging base and the housing for two 4-liter water tanks, a cleaning sink as well as the 2.5-liter dust bin that is automatically eliminates.

The base has several control buttons, which allow you to manually start a cleaning task, recall the robot or run the dock’s auto-emptying procedure. Press two of the buttons to toggle the child lock that is a great touch for parents worried about their children playing with the vacuum.

The Omni Omni, like other robotic vacuums, uses its camera to spot obstacles and furniture in its path. It will avoid them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.

Unfortunately this means that the X1 Omni can occasionally get caught up in obstacles, like a power cord draped across a rug, that it gets stuck and ceases to function until you free it. While it was not common but it was a very frustrating experience when it did happen particularly since the X1 Omni doesn't have an "stuck" status alert in its app.

robot-vacuum-mops-logo-text-black-png-original.jpgThe X1 Omni is unable to automatically switch from mopping mode to vacuuming mode during a cleaning session. You'll have to manually swap between the two, which isn't a big deal aside from the fact that mopping pads aren't cleaned and dried between use which could lead to mildew or mold.

The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who designed its sleek modern, contemporary base and mopping pad. It's a big departure from the utilitarian, all-black bases used by competitors like Roborock and iRobot and is a refreshing appearance in a market that is dominated by bulky boxes and clunky models.
