The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops

robot-vacuum-mops-logo-text-black-png-original.jpgNoah Pinsonnault is a product review analyst for the Home Care and Cleaning Lab at Good Housekeeping.

robotic-vacuum-cleaner-cleaning-the-room-while-wom-2024-11-07-13-20-10-utc-min-jpg-original.jpgHe tests and evaluates cleaning equipment, focusing on robot vacuum cleaners reviews vacuums and mopping combos. Multitaskers can be an excellent choice for those who want to remove mopping from their list of tasks. Some have great navigation and obstacles avoidance. Some even wash and refill mopping pads themselves for a hands-free cleaning.

The Eufy S1 Pro

This is the model you should select if you're looking for a robot vacuum cleaner that also mop. It's smaller than other models, making it more maneuverable in tight spaces or under furniture. It uses a 220 degree lidar, which when combined with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it some of the most effective navigation and obstacle avoidance I've ever seen in a robotic vacuum. It's got a battery of 4600mAh that can last for up to 170 mins when cleaning and sucking are set to standard mode. (It can be more efficient when using turbo). It will even return to its dock to replenish its battery during the cleaning.

It's fast and does an excellent job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums carpeted rooms quickly, and hardwood floors in the living room, kitchen, and hallways with just one sweep. The suction motor's 8,000pa is quick at picking up dirt, crumbs and pet hair. Carpet detection boosts power automatically when it comes in contact with carpets and the dual side brushes help draw out dirt from corners.

The mopping performance is a little less impressive, but not by a lot. The rotating mop spins fast and makes use of 2.2lbs to scrub dirt and stain. I've also noticed that the front arms stick out a bit more than other robots, which can be helpful to get into tight corners and along baseboards. The front arms can also be employed to clean larger objects, such as broken toys and fallen books.

Another nice feature is that the S1 Pro is one of the quietest robot vacuums and mop I've ever tried. It is quieter and doesn't produce as much noise when vacuuming or mopping. The only drawback is that the S1 Pro must use a proprietary cleaning solution for its mopping function and is separate from the vacuum. It's easy to install and works well however this is something you'll need to be aware of in case you're purchasing this vacuum for the sole purpose of it mopping.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo is different from other robot vacuums in its class. It is equipped with a broad array of features that make it a great choice for homeowners looking to purchase an efficient, flexible and adaptable cleaning machine.

The device comes with an impressive and powerful cleaning system that combines LiDAR sensors with an RGB camera to map the home and identify furniture and other obstacles. It can then use this information to clean efficiently and intelligently. This results in a thorough, consistent clean that's also fairly quick.

The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad is capable of reaching many surfaces. This includes corners, baseboards and other hard to reach areas. They also have a flexible side brush that can extend to the floor in close proximity to walls and other fixtures. In addition the mop pads are able to be cleaned and dried to avoid build-up and lessen odors.

App-based customization is a different interesting feature. The Q Revo allows you to adjust the suction level and select an back-and-forth or random pattern. You can also choose the number of passes, which will determine how quickly it can move around your home. You can also choose to disable the side brush to avoid damaging carpets and rugs.

This device has a fairly high price tag but comes with a large selection of innovative features. It is important to remember, however, that the device will incur regular expenses, such as mopping equipment and regular maintenance. For instance the brushroll should be replaced every six to twelve months or after 300 hours. The filter is recommended to be cleaned after 150 hours, and mop pads should be replaced every one to three months.

This robot vacuum mop is a top Amazon rating and comes with a wide range of physical automation features. The robot cleaner with mop vacuum also comes with a power button which doubles as a 'Clean button' as well as a 'Home button to send it home after cleaning. It also comes with a multi-functional dock that automatically emptys the trash bin and refills its water tank to mop and washes and dry its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus

The Shark Matrix Plus will be the ideal choice for busy professionals or anyone who needs to keep their home clean without spending too much time on chores. It has powerful performance, intelligent navigation, and a long battery life that makes it simple to keep your home clean with little effort.

The Matrix Plus robot vacuum is a 2-in-1 mop and vacuum. It can do both mopping and vacuuming. The robot is divided into two parts, a dry bin and water tank that can be snapped in and out and a mopping module that is equipped with a microfiber pad. It's a little old-fashioned to have separate modules for vacuuming and mopping but it does mean that you don't have to fret about changing the bags for disposables or refilling the tank with water.

The Matrix Plus performed well at vacuuming and mopping. Its most impressive feature is its precise floorplan map, which it uses when cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate around furniture, rugs and other obstacles. The app allows you to create 'No-Go Zones' and virtual barriers to stop certain areas from being cleaned by mop.

We also found that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well in picking up pet hair. It was able capture a lot of the hair our cats shed, and even made it into the nooks and crannies on our stairs, where other robots have struggled. It was fairly quiet and had some nice jingles that let you know when it was starting or finished its work.

The app was too easy and you had to change the modules each time you switched between vacuuming and mops. The app can't hold multiple maps, which could be a problem when you live in a house that has a variety of floors. The Matrix Plus robot is a great choice for those who want a device that can vacuum and mop.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robot vacuum that mops in our review, however it comes with some distinctive features that make it worth taking into consideration. The X1 Omni's biggest draw is its massive dock that doubles as a charging base and housing for two 4 liter water tanks, a clean sink as well as a 2.5-liter dust bin that is automatically empties.

The base also has a number of control buttons that allow you to start cleaning or recall the robot or start the dock's auto-emptying process. Press two of the buttons to switch on a child lock which is a great touch for parents worried about kids tinkering with the vacuum.

The X1 Omni, like other robotic vacuums, utilizes its camera to spot obstacles and furniture in its path. It will steer clear of them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.

Unfortunately, this means that the X1 Omni could occasionally become so entangled with obstacles, like the power cord that is draped across a rug--that it becomes stuck and stops working until you free it. This is a rare event however it was frustrating because the X1 doesn't have an "stuck status" alert in its app.

The X1 Omni cannot automatically switch from mopping to vacuuming mode during cleaning. You'll have to manually swap between the two, which isn't a big deal apart from the fact that the mopping pads aren't cleaned and dried between use and can cause mildew or mold.

On the positive side it's worth noting that the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who came up with its modern and sleek base as well as mopping pad. It's a huge departure from the utilitarian all-black bases of rivals such as Roborock or iRobot. It's also a welcome sight for the market that is dominated by boxy units.
