World of Warcraft Item Upgrades

Upgrades to items give players the ability to upgrade their equipment that they already have. This can be done at any item upgrader mod upgrader NPC.

Upgrades boost the stats of an item, and can also add extras depending on its type. Examples include Whistan's shield for FB sorcs or Goldwrap for casting builds.

Armour

Armour is one of the key things that keeps Link protected from damage in all situations. Although it cannot be upgraded like weapons, you can still enhance its defence capabilities in various ways.

Armour is designed to protect animals and people from injury or harm from direct physical attack or a variety of hazards posed by the environment or activities. Historically, the majority of armour was made from leather or fabric, but metal protections were also used in military applications, particularly such as heavy cavalry and combat drones.

There are many ways to upgrade your armour, but the majority of them require you to visit one of the four Great Fairy Fountains scattered throughout Hyrule. Each fountain has a unique level of upgrades with higher levels of upgrades granting higher levels of protection, but requiring a higher cost in rupees and the materials needed to unlock.

The first thing you need to know about Armor Upgrades is that they are permanent upgrades which means that after they've been put in place, they are not able to be replaced unless there is another piece of equipment with the same upgrade. It is essential to only apply the highest grade of upgrades to your gear and that you have enough of the materials needed to complete the upgrade.

For those who want to acquire the necessary upgrade components you'll find them in various locations around Hyrule such as merchants, shrines as well as enemies. They are usually marked with an gold circle or blue triangle symbol, and can be found in large quantities as you move through the game. They may appear randomly but there is a possibility that getting certain upgrades will trigger a quest that will reward you with more.

It's also worth noting that, even though the level of protection offered by each upgrade differs but it's the same for all upgrades and will always be better than nothing. A complete set of upgraded armor will give you a strong defense boost that protects you from any kind of attack and will also protect against magic. This makes it an effective weapon for any class.

Weapons

You can upgrade your guns by using special upgrades to make them unique. These upgrades can increase the damage or alter the performance of the weapon to match your build. They also allow new attachments like unique enchantments and different types of ammo, and aesthetic options.

You'll require both the upgrade component as well as the weapon itself to upgrade it. The weapon has to be at a minimum of an appropriate level to upgrade it. Most weapons only accept a single upgrade.

You can find weapons upgrade components scattered across the globe and even from the hands of enemies and can be bought from a merchant. Upgrade components are a mix of ingredients that you can put into weapons, armors, trinkets and gathering tools in order to gain an attribute bonus. They require that the equipment be of a certain degree to allow the upgrade. They can be upgraded in the same way as other items.

The upgrades themselves are a mix of Smithing Stones and Runes, and can be used to enhance the stats of a base weapon and enhancing its scale with other stats. These upgrades are available from enemies in the open or from merchants. They are also dropped through combat.

Two NPCs can enhance your weapon: Blacksmith Hewg, located in the Roundtable Hold hub zone and the Smithing Master Iji located in the Road to Manor hub zone. Both of these NPCs will accept your Smithing Stones and Runes in exchange for a higher-level version of the weapon as well as an upgrade.

Prioritize upgrading your top-in-slot items first. Then upgrade the ones you're not likely to replace in the near future. If you're playing an asymmetrical build, for example upgrade your weapon, then your chest and shoulders, then your feet and hands. Similar principles apply to Magic and Utility Items, with the caveat that some procs may be better than others depending on your playstyle. Armour is the same, with certain reforges better than others.

Magic Items

A character is able to upgrade only one item upgrader of magic at one time. If an upgrade project is cancelled, any subsequent upgrades for the item won't begin. Upgraded magic items cost twice as much gold to make or purchase, but can provide additional benefits.

A magical item is an item that has special properties or effects. Most of these items are weapons, but there are some that include armor, shields as well as cloaks, potions scrolls, rings and other objects. Some of these items can be made to speak.

Most magic items can be upgraded to be equipped with additional capabilities. This makes them more useful to players or help them to overcome a difficult situation. Infused weapons can offer bonus damage against a particular type of enemy, for instance. This is especially useful for characters that have reached a point at which they will likely face the same type of monster in dungeons over and over again.

A ring that is infused with magic may provide immunity to nonmagical attacks that bludgeon or pierce or slash (excluding silvered attacks) until the character gets another long rest. This can be particularly helpful for melee fighters or any other character who wishes to avoid the expense and hassle of buying shields.

Certain objects with enchanted properties have special powers that allow the character to cast spells that aren't on their class list. This is helpful for characters who have difficulty filling their spell slots because of multiclassing. These items with enchanted abilities generally require an Intelligence (Arcana) check prior to use them, and the spell cast is determined by rolling a table that is based on the number Intelligence points expended.

Other objects with enchanted powers could allow the character's appearance change or create a new appearance. These items are especially useful for characters that were forced to leave their home, or are in a place in which they are not accepted. A magical item upgrading could grant them invisibility or make them invisible for anyone, excluding the person they choose to.

Utility Items

Utility items are anything that isn't part of the categories of clothing or armor and have a variety of capabilities. They are not compatible with each other, unlike weapons or armor. Most utility items have a passive effect that players can activate by using them. Some have additional abilities that are activated by pressing a button, or by activating the skill.

Generally speaking, the most popular type of utilitarian item upgrader kit is the Flashlight that illuminates the surrounding area. Other items that are useful include the Helicopter Cap and Rocket Boots which allow the player to hover in mid-air when moving and the Jetpack that allows him to accelerate in any directions while on the ground. In the Engineering section you can quickly create a variety of utilitarian items, whereas others are available only through Research projects or Experimental projects on the Proving Ground.

Players can unlock more powerful utility items in addition to the items they have in their usual inventory by purchasing them from the Atomic Shop or from seasonal Scoreboard rewards. Certain of these items are upgradeable to make them more effective.

The majority of utilitarian items give the player a navigational advantage or increase the effectiveness of a particular combat skill. Sharpening stones, crafted by the Weaponsmith will increase power and Ferocity while Maintenance Oils, crafted by a Huntsman can increase concentration and healing power. Other items of utility such as Writs or Theses crafted by the Scribe can be used to give players an increase in Damage or Condition Damage.

XCOM soldiers can equip one accessory item upgrade to start the campaign. An additional slot is available after the completion of certain research, engineering, or experiments on the Proving Ground. During the Alien Hunters downloadable content, additional slots can be obtained by equipping a Grenade Launcher. This enables players to use a Smoke Grenade or Bomb while an offensive grenade remains in the primary slot.
